Moira Cultural Centre is one of Utrecht’s longest-running independent cultural spaces, supporting artists, creative entrepreneurs, and grassroots initiatives for over four decades. As Chair of the Board, Andrej joined during a period of organisational transition, with an opportunity to rethink programming, strengthen community engagement, and improve long-term sustainability.
A new strategic direction was developed that broadened the organisation’s cultural programme while remaining rooted in its community ethos. The focus shifted towards more cross-disciplinary events, stronger local partnerships, and programming that invited wider participation without losing the organisation’s independent identity. Governance and internal collaboration were streamlined through closer coordination between board members, technical teams, and external stakeholders. The renewed approach strengthened the organisation’s public profile and financial position.
